Mercy, Jodie Picoult

Mercy by Jodi Picoult is a story about a police chief who has to make an arrest on one of his cousins. He is an ethical person so he doesn't want to give him an unfair trial. At the same time though, he cares for his family and doesn't want to see him behind bars. It's also a love story that becomes very complicated.

I chose this book because who doesn't love a good love story? Also because I find court cases to be very interesting and have always wondered what happens when cases become personal.

I have already begun reading the book and am already sucked in! I would highly recommend reading it so far. The story behind each character is unfolded piece by piece so you have to put things together.
