In the book "The Heroin Diaries", he talks about how his life involves shooting heroin and making terrible decisions in his life.  His band members and friends are worried for him and try pulling him out of his drug addiction but he locks himself at home and shuns everybody out.  He does heroin and drugs with one of Prince's dancers named Vanity.  She is just as messed up and the only time they meet up is to do drugs. He really doesn't care much about life and what happens to him.

I was engaged in the book immediately because of the language he used and how he talks so lowly of his life. The book is exactly what we think of when we think of the rock star life.  Being a rock star is full of alcohol sex and drugs.  I feel bad for him and how he had a troubled childhood that had a part in how he is today but also he could have found a way out and not be a druggy.  It's also very messed up and how dark his diary entries are.  They are sick and twisted.
