i am reading the book "half a life" by Darin Strauss, and in this book, well its not a book its a memoir because all its about is how he remember hitting and killing a girl that went to the same school as he did whole she was trying to cross the road on a bicycle.

so far in the book it really gets into detail about his day-to-day thinking and life after he hit this girl, he explains just how it happened and explains the scene very well its like a movie in my head kind of.

i really like the book so far because its like being inside someone else head and how they think all the time which is really neat because you never really get to experience something like this, you only know the toughs in your own head. i wasn't really engaged at first, and i still am not too engaged into it because its not that thrilling, but i like it to an extent where i want to keep reading.

  1. I agree with your thougths on this book, Austin. It's not super thrilling or page turning, but fascinating to understand how someone deals with such a terrible event. I think human nature is fascinating, so that is why I find memoirs intriguing. Sometimes I try to think about what I can take from them to make myself or my life better.
